DIFFA [Dining Installation]
The Goal
Create a temporary dining installation using donated products from sponsors for DIFFA’s annual Dining by Design event.
The Proposal
Using parametric design, a canopy of hundreds of colorful paper cranes are suspended against an all white setting. When seated down it is more apparent that the paper cranes create a dome over the dining space.
What I Worked On
I worked on the concept design, 3D modeling, rendering, parametric design indicating the hanging height of each bird, and the assembly of the installation. I also made the majority of the birds.
